Some bonus music for the Feast of All Saints today! The lectionary gospel for the day is Luke's version of the Beatitudes, so I figured it would be good to preview a song from my upcoming EP, entitled "Beatitude!" What I love best about Luke's Beatitudes is that they switch Matthew's "blessed are those" for "blessed are YOU" - direct address to all the poor and sick and lost who have gathered to hear the Good News.
As you listen, I hope that you will remember your own blessedness, even in the midst of doubt: you are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses who are blessing you, right this minute, and you are a Child of a God whose blessing can never be taken away.
If you'd like to support me in making music like this, my GoFundMe for this latest recording project is here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/songs-of-the-spirit-vol-2. Or, as always, there's my Patreon link under the Support Us tab... ;)
