Nurturing spiritually deep, radically welcoming community through justice and the arts.
Born and raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota, yer boy found his artistic voice (and his seminary training, and his queerness) in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve served in the Midwest and on both coasts as a minister in the United Church of Christ; I also practice in Renewal Jewish spaces.
I believe that each and every one of us is created in the image and likeness of God, and I see my ministry as one of co-creation with Her: to make the art that brings my soul alive, and to help others unlock their creative potential and transform the stories and systems that deny our inherent, God-given fabulousness.
I’m currently based out of Portland, OR. When I’m not writing and singing and telling stories, I’m either watching other people do those things or purposefully lost in the woods somewhere.
